Rat Fink - the Anti-Mickey Mouse?

Updated on July 3, 2014

Rat Fink - "Big Daddy" Roth's Alter-ego

The story's told, that Ed "Big Daddy" Roth hated Mickey Mouse. Rat Fink is said to have been born from that hatred.

I don't know if Big Daddy really hated Mickey Mouse or not, but it makes for a good story. One thing I do know is that Rat Fink (with his green/sometimes blue/sometimes purple complexion, blood-shot eyes and generally disagreeable disposition) is about as anti-Mickey as you can get. Still, for those of the Hot Rod culture, he's strangely endearing. Enjoy.

I suppose Rat Fink and the Gang would be a little unsettling for someone that's never seen them before. My father was a Kustom Kar nut, so I've known Rat Fink since I was born: the trading cards, the posters, the t-shirts, the antennae toppers and especially the Revell Model kits. I'm glad he's back - I guess that make me a little Kustom Kar nuts, too.

No Rats were injured in the making of the webpage...

I don't believe any copyrights were either.
